Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety, and Environment Officer (HSE) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and hazard identification.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and standards.
- Conduct thorough environmental audits and risk assessments.
- Maintain accurate records of HSE incidents, inspections, and training.
- Prepare and submit detailed HSE reports to management and regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and contractors.
- Investigate incidents/accidents and develop corrective action plans.
- Provide training and awareness programs for employees and subcontractors.
- Develop and implement effective environmental management plans.
- Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics.
Requirements and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the construction industry.
- Proven experience in industrial settings with a strong focus on HSE work.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
- NEBOSH or OSHA certification (or equivalent).
- Additional relevant HSE certifications (e.g., ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001).
- Licensed professional HSE practitioner.
