DNA Learning Solutions is thrilled to announce a career opportunity within our client's indigenous Oil & Gas Servicing company, located in Port Harcourt, Rivers. As they expand their operations, they're seeking a dedicated HSE Officer (Oil and Gas) to join their team. This full-time position offers an exciting chance to contribute to the company's mission of maintaining the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards, recommending corrective actions as necessary.
- Support the implementation of the company's HSE policies, aligning with the goal of zero incidents.
- Ensure compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) regulations on-site.
- Oversee the adherence to applicable Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
- Participate in emergency drills to assess workers' preparedness, reporting observations for review.
- Provide weekly HSE statistics to the HSE Supervisor for corporate reporting.
- Facilitate daily toolbox meetings to brief workers before commencing tasks.
- Report near misses and accidents, ensuring thorough investigations and appropriate reporting.
- Document HSE meeting minutes and track action points for timely resolution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B.Sc) or Higher National Diploma (HND).
- Experience in offshore construction, installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning within the Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Industry.
- Minimum of two (2) years of HSE experience in the Oil and Gas sector.
- Professional certification in health and safety.
- Essential offshore HSE experience.
Salary: N280,000 - N330,000 per month.
