Skyline International Tourism and Hospitality Ltd is currently recruiting for the position of Human Resource Assistant. This is a full-time position based in Gwarimpa, Abuja (FCT). The HR Assistant will support the HR department in a variety of tasks, including administrative duties, employee record management, and ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions.
Position Overview
As an HR Assistant at Skyline International Tourism and Hospitality, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the HR functions. This includes offering organizational support, maintaining employee records, facilitating communications, and supporting recruitment activities. The role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as a solid understanding of HR processes.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Operations Support: Assist with day-to-day HR activities and ensure smooth operations.
- Clerical and Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to HR executives, including filing, organizing, and document management.
- Employee Records Management: Maintain both physical and digital employee records, ensuring they are up to date and compliant with HR standards.
- External Communications: Liaise with public services and other external bodies when necessary.
- Complaint and Grievance Management: Handle employee complaints and grievances efficiently, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
- Candidate Communication: Coordinate with candidates, schedule interviews, and assist in recruitment processes.
- Employee Orientation: Conduct initial orientations for newly hired employees, ensuring they are familiar with company policies and procedures.
- Recruitment Assistance: Assist with sourcing candidates, updating recruitment databases, and preparing reports on staffing and performance.
- HR Project Coordination: Support in organizing HR events such as meetings, training sessions, and surveys, and take meeting minutes.
- Employee Request Management: Address employee queries regarding HR policies, benefits, and company regulations.
- Payroll Assistance: Assist in payroll preparation by providing data on absences, bonuses, leaves, and other relevant information.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven Experience: Previous experience in an HR Assistant or similar administrative role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with HR software (HRIS or HRMS) is a plus.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with employees and external partners.
- Educational Qualification: A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Labor Laws: Basic understanding of Nigerian labor laws and HR practices.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with HR procedures.
Salary and Benefits
- The salary for this position ranges from N100,000 to N120,000 per month, based on experience and qualifications.
