Position: Human Resource Officer

  • Location: Garki, Abuja (FCT)
  • Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and resourceful Human Resource Officer to enhance our HR functions and contribute to a positive work environment. This role involves managing employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and overall HR administration. The ideal candidate should be proactive, detail-oriented, and equipped with exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

HR Systems and Initiatives

  • Implement and support HR initiatives and systems to align with organizational goals.
  • Foster innovation and continuous improvement in HR practices.

Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from job postings to onboarding new hires.
  • Oversee staffing needs and contract administration.

Policy and Compliance Management

  • Interpret and enforce HR policies, procedures, and labor laws.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company standards.

Performance Management

  • Coordinate performance appraisals, employee feedback, and career development initiatives.
  • Assist in planning promotions and professional growth programs.

Employee Relations

  • Act as a mediator for employee grievances and conflict resolution.
  • Cultivate a supportive and productive work environment.

Office Administration

  • Supervise office assistants and ensure workplace needs are met efficiently.

Employee Records and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate and updated employee records in line with company policies.

HR Projects and Strategies

  • Support HR projects aligned with organizational strategy.

Health, Safety, and Welfare

  • Implement health and safety measures to ensure employee well-being.

Payroll and Benefits Administration

  • Ensure timely payroll processing and oversee employee compensation and benefits programs.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HRM certifications (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, HRCI) are an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws, HR policies, and best practices.
  • Proven experience in an HR role with demonstrated success.
  • Proficiency in HR management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
