Job Overview
The Import Documentation Officer will play a vital role in overseeing the effective and efficient handling of import documentation for the company’s shipments. This position is crucial for ensuring the timely clearance of consignments from ports and border entries, in line with the company's import policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

Cargo Management: Oversee the system that tracks cargo arrivals, pre-alerts, and ships' berthing schedules to ensure seamless coordination of shipments.

Daily Reporting: Provide accurate daily reports on the status of clearing processes, identifying and addressing any delays or issues in the shipment clearance.

Documentation Support: Assist the Assistant Manager – Documentation by providing consistent support in all aspects of import documentation.

Tracking and Dispatching: Maintain an up-to-date register of all dispatches and deliveries of cleared consignments, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
Qualifications and Key Competencies

Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Social Sciences or a related field.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role within the import/export or logistics industry.

Skills:
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Leadership abilities with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Personal Attributes:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Age Range: 30-35 years.

Salary and Benefits

Salary Range: N100,000 - N200,000 Gross per month.
