The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) stands as the pinnacle of the United Nations' global development efforts. Our mission revolves around advocating for transformative change while fostering connections among nations to share knowledge, experiences, and resources. Through our initiatives, we aim to empower individuals worldwide to construct a better future for themselves and their communities.
Based in the vibrant city of New York, the UNDP operates under the auspices of an executive board within the United Nations General Assembly. Our funding relies entirely on voluntary contributions from UN member states, reflecting a shared commitment to global progress. With a presence in 177 countries, we collaborate closely with local governments to address development challenges and cultivate indigenous capabilities.
