Job Title: Instrument Technician
Locations: Port Harcourt, Rivers & Lagos
Job Summary
As an Instrument Technician at H&W Energy Limited, you will be responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation systems and their associated components. These systems, which can be electronic, electro-mechanical, or pneumatic, are crucial for the indication, recording, and control of various equipment, plant, and machinery, directly contributing to the company's objectives and goals.
Technical Competencies
- Pressure Measurement and Control Systems: Range check pressure gauges, change pressure switch settings, recalibrate SMART pressure transmitters, and record Instrument Test Records (ITRs).
- Level Measurement and Control Systems: Reconfigure, calibrate, and function check displacement type and SMART type level transmitters, and record ITRs.
- Process Control Valve Maintenance: Remove and reassemble process control valve positioners and actuators, replace valve stem gland packing, and conduct body pressure tests and full loop calibrations, recording ITRs.
- SBT Assemblies: Identify and rectify faults and defects, disassemble and reinstall SBT assemblies using correct materials, tools, and fittings in accordance with P&ID and specification sheets.
- Temperature Measurement and Control Systems: Commission RTDs or thermocouples and SMART temperature transmitters, perform recalibration and full loop checks, and record ITRs.
- Flow Measurement and Control Systems: Recommission differential pressure flow transmitters to fully operational condition and record calibration checks in ITRs.
