Job Summary
As an Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for supervising field staff in maintaining and servicing Efe production facilities. This includes overseeing well testing and monitoring, pumps, storage facilities, and other associated equipment. You will ensure the smooth operation of production and maintenance activities, implementing preventive and corrective measures as necessary.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervise routine production and maintenance operations under the direction of the Production Manager or Facility Lead.
- Perform well integrity assurance tasks and activities, ensuring all components—both flow-wetted and non-flow-wetted—are properly maintained.
- Oversee the planned, preventive, predictive, and turnaround maintenance of both rotating and non-rotating facilities.
- Collaborate with production and facility teams to model and optimize plant availability.
- Monitor plant risk and reliability management systems, including Risk-Based Inspection (RBI), Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), and Instrument Protective Functions (IPF).
- Take and record field data for general monitoring and performance analysis of plant systems.
Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
- HND / Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, with at least 5 years in Operations & Maintenance with a focus on Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I).
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate strategies into actionable plans.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in the use of engineering software.
- In-depth knowledge of As-built drawings and interpretation.
- Strong project management capabilities.
- Proven leadership and team-building abilities.
