Key Purpose
The Inventory Controller ensures that all inventory governance processes and documentation are meticulously followed, guaranteeing accurate reflection of physical inventory movements in SAP. This role is crucial in managing and controlling the inventory of finished products and empties, while auditing and verifying all inventory transactions in compliance with AB-InBev Inventory Policies.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Confirm daily warehouse capacity and alert the business of any potential risks.
- Oversee time and attendance for all department staff.
- Coordinate daily and monthly stock count activities.
- Validate Full Beer Returns (FBR) and Breakage in Transit (BIT) management.
- Monitor stock age, out-of-stock situations, and product range issues.
- Enforce safety standards and critical behavior protocols.
- Audit stock movement controls for accuracy (Fulls & Empties) and adherence to procedures.
- Review Service Level Agreements (SLA) and attend meetings to address non-compliance with stakeholders.
- Prepare and adhere to a weekly external depot/warehouse visit plan.
- Conduct monthly performance reviews and one-on-one meetings with direct reports.
- Manage personal and team development and performance.
- Maintain all departmental records, documentation, and archives.
- Ensure adherence to the First Expired First Out (FEFO) principle in the product warehouse.
- Address beer age issues with sales through action plans.
- Assess and suggest improvements for warehouse processes (e.g., split, repacking, turnaround time).
- Audit all warehouse receipts, packaging transfers, and customer crediting.
- Reconcile and audit stock movements across all warehouses.
- Update and confirm daily block stock.
- Manage the receipt of new pallets and glass.
- Oversee the write-off of obsolete stock.
- Drive and own the implementation of VPO/DPO (Vision 2025/Drive for Perfection):
- Engage with the Plant to advance their VPO/DPO vision on the shop floor.
- Represent during milestone audits to support the Plant’s VPO/DPO objectives.
- Compile and submit daily PI/KPI data as required by the Warehouse Controller.
Requirements
- B.Sc., B.Tech., or HND in a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
- Proficient in computer applications and MS Office/Excel.
- Strong work ethic with a focus on goal-setting and achievement.
- Dependable with a track record of following through on commitments.
- Positive attitude, fostering a productive work environment.
- Strong, assertive personality with a compliance-driven approach.
