Job Objectives
The Inventory Coordinator will oversee and manage inventory accounting and physical controls, ensuring efficient stock movement, storage, and control. This role will collaborate with the production, procurement, and finance teams to maintain ideal inventory levels, monitor inventory metrics, and ensure effective reporting.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate activities within the Stock Control Unit:
- Monitor stock movement, including main and sub-ledger reconciliation.
- Conduct physical vs. Business Central stock balance reconciliation.
- Reconcile POS, diesel, and other inventory-related items.
- Manage stock loss and damage claims.
- Ensure effective quarterly stock-taking across all locations.
- Investigate discrepancies and adjust stock levels as necessary.
- Oversee the management of faulty and expiring stocks.
- Implement and review stock policies for consistency.
- Monitor work-in-progress items and assess the adequacy of stock provisions.
- Analyze key inventory metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Audit inventory processes to minimize risks such as stock loss and shrinkage.
- Monitor costs to prevent negative inventory situations.
- Lead and motivate the inventory team to ensure efficient operations.

Purchase Accrual Account Ownership:
- Investigate and resolve purchase order-related issues.
- Post purchase accrual adjustments.

Business Partnership and Support:
- Perform BOM analysis and monthly weighted average price tracking.
- Provide cost of sale data for margin analysis.
- Support group insurance analysis and ad-hoc analysis.
Job Requirements
- Educational Qualifications: BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional Qualification: ACA or ACCA.
- Experience: At least five years of experience, with at least three years in the manufacturing sector.
- Skills:
- Advanced Excel user.
- Strong analytical skills and financial modeling expertise.
- Sound knowledge of Nigerian Accounting Standards and IFRS.
