Job Title: IT Site Engineer

Location: Lagos

Job Summary:

The IT Site Engineer will oversee the maintenance and support of the IT infrastructure and services at a designated location. This role encompasses diverse responsibilities, including diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, managing local network configurations, ensuring data security, and delivering end-user support.

Responsibilities:

• IT Infrastructure Support (ITOP): Maintain and support the IT infrastructure at the site, including servers, network devices, and end-user computing devices, to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Service Level Management (SLMO): Monitor IT service performance against agreed service levels and performance metrics, implementing improvements as necessary to meet or exceed standards.
• Incident and Problem Management (USUP, PBMG): Provide initial response for IT incidents and service requests, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly and efficiently.
• Change Management (CHMG): Implement changes to IT systems and configurations in line with organizational change management procedures, minimizing risks to service availability.
• Document changes and maintain accurate records of system configurations and modifications.
• Technology Awareness and Evaluation (EMRG): Stay abreast of emerging technologies and IT trends relevant to site operations. Evaluate new technologies and recommend their adoption to enhance IT service delivery and performance.
• Collaboration and Communication (RLMT): Collaborate closely with IT teams, business units, and external partners to ensure alignment of IT services with business objectives.
• Information Security (SCTY): Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard data and IT assets at the site, adhering to organizational security policies and standards.
• User Support and Training (HUSP): Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, promoting efficient utilization of IT systems and services.
• Vendor Management (SUPP): Monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with service level agreements and contractual obligations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field. Relevant technical certifications or associate degrees may be considered for candidates with significant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in managing and supporting end-user computing devices, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting, encompassing LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPNs, and firewall settings.
• Hands-on experience in implementing and managing IT security measures, such as antivirus software, patch management, and access controls.
• Proven ability to provide technical support and training to end-users, effectively communicating technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Professional Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or other relevant IT certifications.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or a similar role, with a track record of maintaining and troubleshooting IT infrastructure.
