Imo State Polytechnic, Omuma is a vibrant academic institution with a dynamic community of over 10,000 talented undergraduate students and a dedicated workforce of more than 2,000 professionals. We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions:
1. Lecturer (Architecture)
Location: Omuma, Imo
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Architecture (CADD, Environmental Design).
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree is advantageous.
- Must be a registered member of the relevant professional body (e.g., Nigerian Institute of Architects).
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in an academic or similar institution.
2. Lecturer (Fine and Applied Arts)
Location: Omuma, Imo
Qualifications
- MA/M.Sc in Fine Arts or related field.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree is advantageous.
- Must be a registered member of the relevant professional body.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in an academic or similar institution.
3. Security Staff
Location: Omuma, Imo
Qualifications
- Minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSSC); B.Sc / B.A / HND / OND / NCE may be considered.
- Previous experience in security services preferred.
- Good communication skills and physical fitness are essential.
4. Medical Attendant
Location: Omuma, Imo
Qualifications
- Minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSSC) or National Examination Council Certificate (NECO) with credits in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics.
- Training or certification in Healthcare or Laboratory Assistance is an advantage.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or laboratory setting preferred.
5. Technologist (Architecture)
Location: Imo
Qualifications
- Minimum of HND in Architecture with proficiency in data room management, photography, modeling, and studio management.
- Membership of the relevant professional body (e.g., Nigerian Institute of Architects) is an added advantage.
6. Assistant Chief Security Officer
Location: Imo
Qualifications
- Ex-military, ex-police, ex-Nigerian Civil Defence Corps, or ex-paramilitary personnel.
- Age: Not more than 50 years at the point of entry.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience in security.
- Good understanding of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Pharmacist
Location: Omuma, Imo
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) Degree from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of post-NYSC experience.
- Must be registered with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
8. Secretary
Location: Omuma, Imo
Qualifications
- BA/BSc in English Language and Literature or HND in Secretarial/Clerical Studies, Office Technology, and Management.
- 2+ years of experience in an academic or similar institution.
9. Driver
Location: Imo
Qualifications
- Minimum of Senior Secondary Certificate Education (SSCE) or equivalent.
- Certification or training in vehicle mechanics is an advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a driver.
- Proven skills in vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly.
- Good knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving techniques.
10. Gardener
Location: Imo
Qualifications
- First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC), Basic Education Certificate, Senior Secondary Certificate Education (SSCE) / National Examination Council Certificate (NECO), or equivalent is preferred.
11. Nurse / Midwife
Location: Imo
Qualifications
- B.Sc in Nursing or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience.
- Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
12. Medical Doctor
Location: Omuma, Imo
Qualifications
- MB/BS Degree from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of post-NYSC experience.
- Must be registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
