Job Description and Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Storekeeper at Bourbon Interoil Nigeria Limited, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and inventory management. Your responsibilities will include:

Receiving, inspecting, and verifying all incoming materials and supplies.

Coordinating with vendors and end users to ensure accuracy in orders, delivery notes, and received items.

Managing documentation for all transactions, including receipts and dispatches.

Handling used spare parts from vessels and bases, ensuring they are properly stored and forwarded to the technical team for overhauling.

Organizing and maintaining an efficient storage system, ensuring all spare parts and materials are properly arranged within the warehouse.

Coordinating with various departments to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of required materials.

Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) guidelines and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Monitoring stock movements daily and updating records in ORACLE.

Conducting periodic inventory checks as required by the store supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Management, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Proficiency in inventory management software and data entry systems.
-
High level of accuracy and analytical skills for effective stock control.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.
-
Ability to lift and carry materials as part of warehouse operations.

Knowledge of bookkeeping and warehouse management best practices.

Familiarity with standard stockroom procedures and industry-specific inventory systems.
Work Experience
-
A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in warehousing, stock control, HSE compliance, and supply chain management within the marine and logistics industry.
