Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), situated in Jos, Nigeria, announces openings for its 2024/2025 academic session of the Post Basic Perioperative Nursing School. This program offers an opportunity for registered nurses to specialize in perioperative care, enhancing their professional skills and knowledge.
Entry Requirements:
Registered nurses seeking admission must fulfill the following criteria:
- Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Possess a minimum of two years post-qualification experience, preferably in perioperative or operating theater units.
- Have a West African School Certificate (WAEC), Senior Secondary Certificate (SSCE), National Examination Council of Nigeria (NECO), or General Certificate of Education (GCE) with five credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, achieved in no more than two sittings.
The program duration is twelve months on a full-time basis. Applicants not meeting these requirements need not apply.

Application Process and Fee:
Interested candidates can obtain application forms from the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee’s (CMAC) office at JUTH Permanent Site, Lamingo. Application forms require a non-refundable fee of Seven Thousand, Five Hundred Naira (N7,500.00) only, payable via Remita in favor of the Post Basic Perioperative Nursing School, Jos University Teaching Hospital, Jos.
Completed forms, along with the required documents, should be submitted to the office of the Programme Coordinator at JUTH Temporary Site, Murtala Mohammed Way, Jos, before 14th July 2023.
Selection Process and Dates:
Candidates will undergo a written examination on Wednesday, 19th July 2023, followed by an oral interview on Thursday, 20th July 2023, both at the JUTH Temporary Site. Successful applicants will be notified by the end of August 2023, with classes commencing on 6th November 2023.
