Preparation:
- Turn off and unplug your Keurig before cleaning.
- Gather the necessary cleaning materials.
Cleaning Removable Parts:
- Remove the water reservoir, drip tray, and pod holder.
- Rinse them with warm soapy water.
- Let them air dry or dry with a soft cloth.
Unclogging the Needle & Pod Holder:
- Remove the pod holder and funnel.
- Clean the tube of the pod holder with a paper clip.
- Rinse both pieces with warm water and let them dry.
Descaling the Tank:
- Empty the water tank and remove the filter.
- Mix descaling solution (or vinegar) and water in the tank.
- Run brewing cycles until the tank is empty.
- Let the Keurig sit for at least 30 minutes.
- Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water.
Replacing the Water Filter:
- Soak a new filter in water for 5 minutes.
- Pull out the filter tube from the water reservoir.
- Take apart the bottom of the tube to remove the old filter.
