Job Summary
As a Kitchen Assistant at XDT Restaurant and Club, you will play a crucial role in supporting our culinary team. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in ingredient preparation, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and ensuring that all equipment and utensils are properly handled and stored. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about contributing to a high-quality dining experience and has a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain rigorous hygiene standards by cleaning and sanitizing all food preparation areas, ensuring compliance with established health and safety protocols.
- Efficiently wash and properly store all kitchen appliances, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes to keep the kitchen organized and operational.
- Assist in the unloading and proper storage of delivered food supplies to maintain an orderly inventory.
- Accurately organize and store food supplies, ensuring all items are easily accessible and preserved.
- Transfer meal ingredients from storage areas to the kitchen promptly and according to the Cook’s instructions.
- Prepare soups and sauces by stirring and heating, as well as making hot beverages as needed.
- Support the Cook by preparing meal ingredients, including washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruits, vegetables, poultry, and meats.
- Perform regular sweeping and mopping of kitchen floors and wiping down kitchen walls to uphold a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a kitchen assistant or in a similar role is advantageous but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina and ability to handle kitchen equipment.
