About KNATCOM
Established in 1964, the Kenya National Commission for UNESCO (KNATCOM) was created as a department under the Ministry of Education following Kenya’s membership in UNESCO on April 7, 1964. KNATCOM operates in accordance with the UNESCO Constitution of 1945 and continues to uphold its mission to promote education, science, and culture.
Career Opportunities at KNATCOM 2024
KNATCOM is currently recruiting for the following position:
1. Secretary General / CEO – KNC 1/E4 (1 Post)
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the Commission.
- Act as the Accounting Officer for the Commission.
- Oversee the implementation of the KNATCOM Act, 2013 (Revised 2014) as directed by the Board.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Commission.
- Oversee administration and management of the Commission’s assets.
- Lead, motivate, and empower staff to build effective teams and drive organizational change.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma qualification.
- Proven leadership and management experience.
