Established in 1964, the Kenya National Commission for UNESCO (KNATCOM) was created as a department under the Ministry of Education following Kenya’s membership in UNESCO on April 7, 1964. Career Opportunities at KNATCOM 2024
KNATCOM is currently recruiting for the following position:
1. Secretary General / CEO – KNC 1/E4 (1 Post)
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the Commission.
- Act as the Accounting Officer for the Commission.
- Oversee the implementation of the KNATCOM Act, 2013 (Revised 2014) as directed by the Board.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Commission.
- Oversee administration and management of the Commission’s assets.
- Lead, motivate, and empower staff to build effective teams and drive organizational change.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma qualification.
- Proven leadership and management experience.
