Programme Duration and Structure
The Pre-Degree Science Programme lasts six months and includes a mandatory three-month ICT training. This ensures a solid foundation in your chosen field while gaining essential ICT skills.
Admission Requirements
To apply, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Five O’ Level credit passes in subjects such as English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Agricultural Science from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in no more than two sittings.
- Optional subjects include Economics, Geography, Financial Accounting, Marketing, Commerce, Business Studies, Government, Literature in English, Civic Education, History, Yoruba, and CRS/IRS.
- Candidates awaiting O’ Level results can apply, provided they present them before the programme concludes.
How to Apply for LAUTECH Pre-Degree Admission
Follow these steps to apply:
- Visit the LAUTECH Admission Portal.
- Make a payment of ₦15,000 for the application form using an Interswitch-enabled debit card.
- Carefully fill out and submit the online application form. Incomplete forms will not be processed.
- Ensure all information is accurate to avoid issues during the application review.
Key Dates to Remember
- Closing Date: Application submission closes on Friday, November 29, 2024.
- Print Confirmation Slip: Download and print the Registration Confirmation Slip with your passport photograph as proof of submission.
Entrance Examination Details
The entrance examination is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the new ICT complex. The exam will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT). Please arrive on time and be well-prepared for the test.
Placement into Degree Programmes
Placement into degree programmes is based on several criteria:
- Performance in the Pre-Degree Programme
- Meeting admission requirements
- Availability of seats in the desired programme
- Participation in ICT Intensive Training
- Performance in the 2025 UTME. Applicants must obtain the 2025 UTME Form and meet the cut-off mark specified by the LAUTECH Senate.
