LASUES Final Make-Up Exam: Complete Outstanding Courses - LASU Update

The Lagos State University External System (LASUES) has issued an important update for its students. The University Management has given the green light for the final phase-out of the LASUES program. It's crucial to understand that LASUES is distinct from LASU’s Part-Time Study program.

Here are the key details:

• Start Date: June 10, 2024
• Examination Period: June 10 – July 10, 2024
• Enrollment: Online via LASU website
• Payment: Exam fees required
• Login: Use your matriculation number
• Courses: Identify via LASU result portal
• Retake Fee: Applicable if a course is failed

If you're currently enrolled in LASUES and haven't graduated yet, there are specific steps you need to take to complete your remaining courses and participate in the make-up examinations.

Identifying Outstanding Courses

To get started, follow these steps to identify any outstanding courses:

1. Visit the LASU Students’ Result Portal.
2. Enter your matriculation number to access your academic profile and view your outstanding courses.

Note: The portal will be accessible from Monday, June 10, 2024.

Enrollment and Payment for Examinations

Once you've identified your outstanding courses, proceed with enrollment for exams and making necessary payments:

1. Visit the LASU website and navigate to the Student section. Click on “LASUES MopUp Exam”.
2. Enter your matriculation number and submit. On the Outstanding Course Enrolment page, select the courses you need and proceed.
3. Finalize your enrollment, then proceed to make the payment for examination fees. This payment is mandatory to access the main examination portal.

Taking the Examination

After completing the enrollment and payment process, log in to the examination portal using your matriculation number used for payment. This will grant you access to initiate the examination.

Important Notes

• A one-time payment is required for the exams covering your outstanding courses. In case of failing a course and needing a retake, a retake fee will be charged.
• The examination period is scheduled from June 10, 2024, to July 10, 2024. No extensions will be provided.
• Final Steps for Graduation: Upon successfully completing your exams, the Vice Chancellor’s committee on LASUES make-up examinations will recommend your graduation for Senate approval.
