Job Description
The Learning and Development Officer is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance within the organization. This role is crucial in ensuring the workforce remains competitive and aligned with strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements.
- Coordinate external trainers or third-party programs as necessary.
- Facilitate onboarding, sensitization, and on-the-job training sessions.
- Measure training program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and performance metrics.
- Support managers in performance management activities, including coaching and succession planning.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs tailored to employee needs.
- Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions using engaging instructional methods.
- Identify and develop high-potential employees through mentoring and coaching.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning through knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards through targeted training.
- Collaborate with department heads and HR to identify training needs.
- Prepare reports on training activities and outcomes for management review.
- Recommend and implement improvements to training programs.
- Stay current with industry trends and professional development resources.
- Maintain training records and documentation.
- Conduct surveys, interviews, and focus groups to gather data for training needs.
- Design training materials and manuals tailored to employee groups.
- Create a training schedule that meets business and employee needs.
- Develop an annual training plan based on identified needs and organizational priorities.
- Manage the training budget effectively while meeting training goals.
Salary: N300,000 - N500,000 / Month.
