Job Summary
The Logistics Manager will oversee end-to-end logistics operations, manage express shipping and cargo shipments, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and lead a high-performing team to optimize efficiency and drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage end-to-end logistics operations, including express shipping, cargo shipment, and distribution processes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
- Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the team’s skills and knowledge in logistics operations.
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation for all shipments, including customs clearance and regulatory compliance for both domestic and international shipments.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all logistics activities and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Oversee inventory management practices, including inventory tracking, stock control, and warehouse optimization.
- Ensure efficient order fulfillment and distribution processes to meet client requirements.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Resolve any logistical issues that arise promptly and effectively, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Implement strategies to optimize logistics processes, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
- Utilize technology for route optimization, real-time tracking, and overall supply chain visibility.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Logistics Manager, with proven expertise in express shipping and cargo shipment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, including vendors and partners.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively while maintaining high levels of operational excellence.
- Strong business acumen with a focus on driving results, cost optimization, and achieving operational excellence.
- Extensive experience in logistics management, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
- Strong knowledge of documentation processes and regulatory requirements related to logistics and supply chain management.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, efficiency optimization, and problem-solving.
