Job Description
As a vital member of the offshore maintenance execution team, the Maintenance Execution Technician is crucial for ensuring personnel safety and asset integrity through compliance with relevant safety and environmental regulations, procedures, and standards. You will actively participate in the offshore emergency response plan as a member of the site emergency response team.
The Maintenance Execution Technician will collaborate with various stakeholders, including offshore asset leaders, maintenance execution teams, operations supervisors, and onshore stakeholders.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the Bonga Maintenance Execution Technician include:
- Efficiently executing maintenance activities according to task lists and instructions.
- Providing feedback on work preparation quality with suggestions for improvement.
- Accurately recording history to help optimize preventive maintenance (PM).
- Supporting maintenance continuous improvement initiatives for increased productivity and cost reduction.
- Challenging unnecessary work activities and supporting efforts to increase production availability to over 90%.
- Conducting root cause analysis for reliability improvements.
- Managing platform critical spare stocking and returning unused materials.
- Accurately recording hours and identifying efficiency improvements for future tasks.
- Raising high-quality Z1 SAP notifications with necessary documentation.
- Suggesting practical repair solutions and developing core team competencies.
- Conducting field inspections and measurements as required.
- Participating in emergency response team roles as needed.
Key Activities
As assigned, the technician will perform various activities, including:
- Valve actuator function testing, internal combustion engine servicing, HVAC system function testing, compressor maintenance, and more.
Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of maintenance execution practices in an industrial environment, preferably in the oil, gas, or chemical industry. Key qualifications include:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- A national diploma (ND) or equivalent in a relevant engineering field, with 3 years in Electrical/Instrumentation/Control systems maintenance or engineering.
- Understanding of oil and gas processing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Knowledge of safe work practices in industrial settings.
- Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems, preferably SAP.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safe work practices.
