Job Description: 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician
Schedule: 3pm-11:30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced break-fix and preventive maintenance, diagnosing and repairing machinery to enhance operational efficiency.
- Source necessary parts and supplies for maintenance tasks.
- Independently execute maintenance activities adhering to industry standards.
- Operate various machining tools such as lathe, drill press, and grinder to fabricate or repair parts; proficiency in welding may be required.
- Maintain adherence to 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Contribute to Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, driving process enhancements and cost savings.
- Update records and review CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) history.
- Troubleshoot and resolve control systems issues related to software, hardware, and configurations.
- Utilize predictive maintenance technologies to gather equipment performance data.
- Mentor lower-level technicians and provide leadership within small teams.
- Participate in on-the-job and technical self-study programs for professional development.
- Adhere to safety policies and regulations, promoting a safe work environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Associate's degree in a technical field with 3 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience; or 5 years of experience in general industry, or completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program.
- Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems troubleshooting and repair.
- Competency in using basic and specialized hand tools.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Regular requirements include standing, walking, handling tools, reaching, climbing, kneeling, and operating in confined spaces.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds.
- Visual acuity and color vision are essential; work environment may expose employees to loud noise, hazardous materials, and slippery factory floors.
