Olam International Limited (Olam) and Sanyo Foods Co. Limited of Japan ("Sanyo Foods") have announced the formation of a joint venture company (JV) in Nigeria to manufacture and distribute instant noodles across Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa. Sanyo Foods will invest US$20 million, acquiring a 25.5% equity stake in the JV, which will incorporate Olam’s instant noodles assets and business in Nigeria. Olam will maintain a majority ownership of 74.5% with management control. The deal has been agreed upon on a willing-buyer, willing-seller basis and is subject to customary closing conditions.
Founded in 1953, Sanyo Foods is a global leader and Japan’s third-largest player in the instant noodles market. With a strong presence in China, Vietnam, Russia, and North America, Sanyo Foods has grown through strategic partnerships and acquisitions, including stakes in Tingyi Holdings (1999) and King Lion of Russia (2011). Tingyi Holdings is now the market leader in China with 24 production facilities nationwide.

Qualifications
- HND / OND qualification
- 3-5 years of experience
- Expertise in power-producing machines, including electric generators, internal combustion engines, and steam and gas turbines
- Proficiency with power-using machines, such as refrigeration and air-conditioning systems
- Strong problem-solving skills to quickly address technical issues on job sites
Salary
N30,000 - N50,000 monthly
