We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Microbiology Officer
Location: Apapa, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
The Purpose
To assist and support the Microbiologist in ensuring water and products are safe and wholesome for consumption and within NIS standards.
Duties
- Collect samples from different locations.
- Prepare and sterilize media.
- Clean and sterilize glassware.
- Perform water analysis.
- Develop and maintain validation protocols for various environmental controls.
- Conduct tests on component samples, identify contamination, and initiate corrective measures.
- Assist in maintaining GMP and food safety culture.
- Analyze raw materials, intermediate, and finished products.
- Maintain general laboratory hygiene and clean equipment.
- Keep accurate logbooks and complete required documentation.
Qualifications
- BSc / HND / B.Eng in Civil Engineering.
- COREN, NSE, and PMP will be an added advantage.
- 5 years of experience post-professional qualification.
The Person Must:
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment.
- Have good housekeeping skills.
- Thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Excel in lab testing and analysis.
- Be proficient with equipment for culturing and physio-chemical analysis of water.
