Job Purpose
Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, you will provide comprehensive medical care and treatment, following established protocols and hygiene standards. You will also offer supportive supervision to staff and volunteers, ensuring adherence to health guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain antenatal and postnatal care, family planning, obstetrical care (BEmONC), neonatal care, and management of sexual violence victims.
- Collaborate with medical staff on sexual violence case management.
- Promote universal hygiene standards and infection control in healthcare settings.
- Organize medical consultations, treatments, and health education sessions.
- Maintain accurate administrative records and report any issues that arise.
- Provide counseling on ANC, PNC, and infant feeding practices.
- Assess referral needs for pregnant women to appropriate medical facilities.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and sterilization protocols.
- Support referrals to CEMONC facilities and follow up on newborn care.
Professional Requirements
- Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar humanitarian context.
- Valid practicing certificate.
- Flexibility to manage time and work overtime as needed.
- Proficient in English, Kanuri, and Hausa.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team spirit.
- Integrity and resilience in stressful situations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet applications.
- Understanding of humanitarian principles and best practices.
