Job Overview
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager will oversee the M&E activities of LifeBank Group's programs and projects. This role involves designing and implementing M&E strategies, assisting Project Managers with progress reports, and regularly monitoring project activities. The M&E Manager will lead data collection, analysis, and reporting, ensuring effective use of data for program enhancement.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust monitoring and evaluation systems and frameworks for all programs and projects.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on M&E processes and data collection methodologies.
- Identify bottlenecks in project activities and collaborate with Project Management to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Offer timely feedback to project teams based on M&E findings and ensure improvements are made.
- Ensure compliance with project rules and regulations.
- Provide capacity building and training on M&E processes and tools for staff.
- Lead the creation of data collection tools, analysis plans, and reporting templates.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor program implementation and assess data quality.
- Analyze and interpret data to highlight trends, success factors, and challenges.
- Represent LifeBank in external M&E-related meetings and events.
- Monitor all project activities, expenditures, and progress toward achieving project outputs.
- Ensure the sustainability of project results.
- Provide feedback to Project Managers on strategies and activities.
- Perform other assigned tasks.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- A Master's Degree is preferred.
Requirements
- 4-5 years of experience in M&E, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage stress effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing M&E systems.
- Familiarity with statistical software packages and data visualization tools such as SPSS, STATA, or Power BI.
- Willingness to travel within Nigeria, particularly to Northern regions.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong initiative and time management skills.
