Job Summary
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will play a pivotal role in overseeing the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of projects at Ginos Ventures Limited. The role involves designing and implementing M&E activities, tracking project progress, and preparing comprehensive reports to provide stakeholders with accurate insights into project performance. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for ensuring data-driven program improvements, data analysis, and monitoring project activities to ensure that they align with established goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring and Evaluation Systems: Develop and implement robust M&E systems and frameworks to ensure effective tracking and reporting of all programs and projects.
- Project Feedback: Provide timely and actionable feedback to project teams on M&E findings, helping to drive improvements and better project outcomes.
- Compliance: Ensure project teams adhere to all project rules and standards.
- High-Quality Reporting: Ensure that all M&E reports are of the highest quality and submitted promptly.
- Progress Monitoring: Oversee all project activities, including expenditures, and monitor progress toward achieving project outputs.
- Sustainability Monitoring: Assess the long-term sustainability of project results and suggest improvements where necessary.
- Guidance and Support: Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring proper data collection methods and analysis techniques are employed.
- Tool Development: Lead the development of data collection tools, reporting templates, and data analysis plans.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Establish KPIs to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret data to identify key trends, success factors, and challenges.
- Problem-Solving: Identify project bottlenecks, suggest strategies for overcoming these challenges, and work closely with project teams to implement solutions.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, or a related field (a Master’s degree is an advantage).
- At least 4-5 years of proven experience in M&E, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data effectively.
- Experience in developing and implementing M&E systems and frameworks.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Capacity to handle stressful situations professionally and maintain a positive attitude in challenging circumstances.
