Job Overview
The Multimedia Associate will play a pivotal role in creating and managing high-quality multimedia content that aligns with the OPEC Fund’s branding and communication strategies. This includes video production, photography, graphic design, and post-production work, all designed to enhance the visibility and impact of the OPEC Fund's initiatives, both internally and externally.
We are looking for a creative, technically skilled individual with a passion for visual storytelling who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure that the content produced supports the organization’s communication goals.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Video Production
- Plan, shoot, and edit engaging video content for internal and external platforms, including social media, websites, presentations, and reports.
- Cover high-level missions, projects, events, staff engagements, and interviews.
- Manage the entire video production process: scripting, storyboarding, lighting, sound, editing, and post-production.
- Ensure all video content aligns with OPEC Fund's brand guidelines and delivers clear and impactful messaging.
Post-Production
- Edit and enhance video content, including color grading, sound design, animation, and effects.
- Deliver final video and photo content in formats optimized for social media, publications, and other digital platforms.
Photography
- Capture high-quality images of campaigns, events, and other corporate activities.
- Organize and direct photo shoots, including lighting setup, location scouting, and guiding subjects to achieve optimal results.
- Edit and retouch photographs to maintain high standards of quality and consistency with the OPEC Fund’s branding.
Quality Control
- Review and ensure all multimedia content meets the highest quality standards before release.
- Perform troubleshooting to resolve any production or post-production issues.
Innovation and Creativity
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technological advancements in multimedia production.
- Propose new and innovative ideas to enhance the quality and impact of visual content.
Graphic Design
- Design visually appealing graphics for various platforms, such as social media, websites, internal communication channels, and publications.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop compelling visual concepts that support ongoing communication campaigns.
- Ensure consistency in branding and visual identity across all designs.
Content Management
- Maintain a well-organized multimedia asset library, ensuring all files are appropriately tagged, archived, and stored securely.
- Implement regular backups to protect digital assets.
Collaboration
- Work closely with other departments to understand their multimedia needs and provide creative input for content development.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to contribute ideas and support cross-departmental communication goals.
Reporting and Budgeting
- Gather quotes for new products and services, prepare comparison reports, and recommend the best options based on performance and budget.
- Use data insights to create performance reports and offer suggestions for improving the multimedia production process.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced diploma in Media Technology, Photography, Communications, or a related field.
- At least three (3) years of professional experience in multimedia production, including video production, photography, and graphic design.
- Proven proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and photo editing tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).
- Strong understanding of visual composition, lighting, audio recording, and storytelling techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a keen eye for crafting compelling visual narratives.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in French, Arabic, or Spanish is an added advantage.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, preferably in a corporate communications team or agency.
