The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially approved the Passing-Out ceremony for the 2023 Batch ‘C’ Stream II Corps members. The Director-General has set Thursday, 31st October 2024 as the date for this significant event. Corps members and their loved ones can now look forward to a memorable day.
NYSC Passing-Out Programme for 2023 Batch ‘C’ Stream II
The passing-out ceremony will be conducted in a low-key manner, featuring the following activities:
1. Tuesday, 15th – Friday, 18th October 2024
- Release of Corps Members by Employers: Employers are expected to release passing-out Corps members to prepare for the event.
- Job Awareness and Creation Sensitization: Corps members will receive information on job creation and opportunities after service, facilitated by NYSC and NDE officers at the Local Government level.
2. Monday, 21st – Wednesday, 23rd October 2024
- Registration and Clearing of Corps Members: Local Government Inspectors will conduct the registration and clearance process.
- Signing of Final Clearance: Zonal Inspectors will sign the final clearance for eligible Corps members.
- Questionnaire Administration (Form 4B): A questionnaire will be administered to 30% of passing-out Corps members.
3. Thursday, 24th – Monday, 28th October 2024
- Continued Signing of Final Clearance: Zonal Inspectors will continue to sign the final clearance for Corps members.
- Ongoing Questionnaire Administration: The questionnaire process will continue for selected Corps members.
4. Tuesday, 29th – Wednesday, 30th October 2024
- Final Clearance Signing: Zonal Inspectors will complete the signing of final clearance forms.
5. Thursday, 31st October 2024
- Distribution of Certificates of National Service: Corps members who have successfully completed their service year will receive their Certificates of National Service at the Local Government level.
