Basic Requirements for Nigerian Army Recruitment
To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be single and a Nigerian citizen by birth, with a National Identity Card or NIN slip and BVN.
- Must satisfy medical, physical, and psychological standards of the Nigerian Army.
- Must have no criminal convictions.
- Must possess a birth certificate endorsed by the National Population Commission, hospital, or local government.
- Must provide a valid certificate of state of origin.
- Males must be at least 1.68 meters tall; females must be at least 1.65 meters.
- Non-trades applicants must be aged 18-22; trades applicants must be aged 18-26 as of December 31, 2024.
- Must have at least four passes in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, including English, in no more than two sittings.
- Trades applicants must hold a Trade Test/City Guild Certificate.
- Bring warm clothing (cardigan, head warmer, hand gloves, blanket) to the screening center.
