Nile University Post UTME/DE Admission 2024/2025: Apply Now

We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for admission into the Nile University of Nigeria, Abuja, for the 2024/2025 academic session. We invite suitably qualified candidates to apply through either the Post UTME or Direct Entry channels.

Courses and Requirements

  1. Faculty of Arts, Management, and Social Sciences:

    • UTME: Candidates must possess five credits at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English, Mathematics, and any other two relevant subjects including Economics, Accounting, or Government.
    • Direct Entry: A minimum of two "A" level credits including Economics, or NCE/OND with credit passes in relevant subjects.
  2. Political Science and International Relations:

    • UTME: Five ‘O’ level credit passes including English Language, Government or History, with at least a pass in Mathematics and any other relevant subjects.
    • Direct Entry: Not applicable.
  3. English Studies:

    • UTME: Five credits at SSCE (or its equivalent) including English Language and Literature in English.
    • Direct Entry: At least two A level passes including Literature in English and one other Arts subject.
  4. Biology:

    • UTME: Five Credits at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English, Mathematics, Biology, and any other science subjects.
    • Direct Entry: Two “A” level passes in Biology and any one of Physics, Mathematics, or Chemistry.
  5. Chemistry:

    • UTME: Five Credits at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English, Chemistry, Mathematics, and any other two science subjects.
    • Direct Entry: Two “A” level passes in Chemistry and any one of Physics, Mathematics, or Biology.
  6. Computer Science:

    • UTME: Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) including English & Mathematics and any other 3 subjects preferably Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agric. Science.
    • Direct Entry: Two “A” level passes in Mathematics and either Physics and/or Chemistry.
  7. Faculty of Engineering:

    • UTME: Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) including English & Mathematics and any other 3 subjects preferably Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.
    • Direct Entry: Two “A” level passes in Mathematics and either Physics and/or Chemistry.
  8. Department of Law:

    • UTME: Five credits at SSCE (or its equivalent) including English Language and Literature in English.
    • Direct Entry: At least two A level passes including Literature in English and one other Arts subject.

Admission Procedures

  1. Nigerian Applicants:

    • Must take the JAMB Examination (UTME) and obtain the approved cut-off mark for the year.
    • Must present 5 credits at no more than two sittings.
  2. Foreign Applicants:

    • Must provide their corresponding Examination Results as well as an academic transcript of previous high schools.
  3. Transfer & Direct Entry Students:

    • Direct Entry candidates must have completed OND, HSE, HND, or 'A' level GCE, among others.
    • Transfer candidates from national universities are generally given preference.

Admissions are open to all, irrespective of Nationality, Sex, Physical ability, and Religion, provided that the applicant duly completes the application form with valid information.

Candidates are required to submit the following documents to the admission office:

  • Completed and Signed Application Form
  • Copy of Official Senior Secondary School Transcript
  • Copy of Official Senior Secondary School Certificate
  • Copies of Official Examination Results
  • Guarantor’s Letter/Attestation of Financial Support
  • Medical Report & Immunization Records
  • Letter of Recommendation from Secondary School Counsel/Principal
  • 4 Recent Passport Photographs
