Job Description
Daystar Power Group seeks to engage competent and experienced NOC Engineers who will monitor all power systems on dedicated monitoring platforms and escalate any faults. We are looking for hardworking, motivated, and well-organized individuals with a focus on continuous improvement to exceed expectations. Successful candidates will provide remote monitoring support to the Field Service team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 monitoring of hardware, power, and environmental alarms on customer equipment using network monitoring and surveillance software.
- Maintain the network by troubleshooting and identifying fault and outage locations.
- Ensure all systems on the network are reporting on the monitoring platform and escalate any that are not.
- Conduct facilities maintenance, including monitoring and managing inverters, generators, power usage, and running health and safety checks.
- Prepare shift reports reflecting activities carried out during the shift.
- Create trouble tickets, assign them to field resources, and track tickets until closure.
- Escalate faults to the field team and assist in testing equipment until resolution.
- Perform tests and simulations of alarms, test backup systems procedures, and update documentation.
- Prepare monthly ticket analysis showing the status of all tickets raised during the week, month, and year.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- Experience: At least 3 years of work experience in a network operating center, analyzing system and network performance using monitoring and graphical data.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent oral and writing skills in English.
