Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse Midwife residing in Ibadan to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a Registered Nurse Midwife at St. Dominic Catholic Hospital, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional care to women throughout their pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum periods.
Collaborating closely with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals, you will ensure the safety and well-being of our patients through evidence-based practices and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for women during pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum phases.
- Conduct thorough prenatal and postnatal examinations, maintaining accurate records of patient care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Educate and support women and their families on topics related to pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting.
- Perform midwifery procedures and assist with deliveries as required, adhering to best practices and professional standards.
- Stay abreast of current evidence-based practices and engage in ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse Midwife with the relevant professional body.
- Bachelor's degree in Midwifery or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience as a Registered Nurse Midwife.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to patient-centered care.
