The Post Basic Perioperative Nursing Programme will commence in November 2024 and will span twelve (12) months, providing comprehensive training that combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience in the operating room.
Programme Overview
The Post Basic Perioperative Nursing Programme at OAUTHC is designed to equip nurses with the essential skills and knowledge required to provide high-quality perioperative care. Through a combination of lectures, hands-on training, and clinical practice, participants will learn about preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care, as well as the complexities of surgical procedures.
Requirements for Admission
To be eligible for admission into the OAUTHC Post Basic Perioperative Nursing Programme, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:
O’Level Requirements
- Candidates must possess five (5) credits in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. These credits must be obtained from recognized examination bodies such as WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB. Please note that no combined results are permitted for NABTEB candidates.
Nursing Registration
- Applicants must be registered as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
How to Apply
Interested candidates can obtain their application forms online through the OAUTHC Admission Portal. To access the form, candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of NGN15,000. This fee must be paid before attempting to fill out the application form.
