Job Description
Tearfund, a Christian international relief and development agency dedicated to ending poverty and injustice, is seeking an Office Assistant to join our team in Ibadan. The role involves:
- Ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of hygiene and sanitary conditions in and around the Ibadan office.
- Supporting logistics tasks, including driving, vehicle maintenance, and safety.
- Keeping all Tearfund vehicles in excellent condition through regular service and maintenance.
- Driving Tearfund vehicles safely for transporting people and cargo.
- Ensuring all vehicles are equipped with security systems and liaising with the Logistics Manager for total fleet security.
- Assisting the Logistics Officer with dispatch coordination and ensuring proper vehicle logs.
- Managing vehicle logs and reporting on vehicle movement monthly.
- Ensuring all staff vehicle movements are authorized and properly logged.
Qualifications
- Secondary school or College certificate in any field.
- At least 1 year of experience in cleaning and sanitary work.
- At least 3 years of driving experience with a valid driver’s license.
- At least 1 year of experience in logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Proven skills in logistics and general office management.
- Understanding of Christian relief and development issues.
- Experience with Christian organizations and general house maintenance.
- Creative problem-solving skills and project implementation experience.
- Proficiency in Yoruba and English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to prioritize, lead team prayers, and apply biblical principles in all aspects of the role.
- Strong organizational, scheduling, and computer skills (MS Word, Excel).
- Confident communicator about personal faith.
