The Ominira Initiative for Economic Advancement, in collaboration with the Initiative for African Trade and Prosperity (IATP), proudly announces the 2024 undergraduate essay writing competition. This year's theme is “Entrepreneurship and Democracy as Catalysts for a Prosperous Nigeria.” We invite young Nigerian scholars to explore and articulate how these twin pillars can drive the nation's progress.
Competition Details
The competition aims to foster a deeper understanding of entrepreneurship and democracy among Nigerian youths, encouraging them to envision and contribute to a prosperous future for Nigeria.
Prizes
- 1st Position: N120,000
- 2nd Position: N100,000
- 3rd Position: N80,000
- Consolation Prizes: For 4th and 5th positions
Eligibility
To participate, you must:
- Be an undergraduate student enrolled in a Nigerian higher institution.
- Be 30 years of age or younger.
Submission Guidelines
To submit your essay, follow these steps:
- Write Your Essay: Focus on the theme “Entrepreneurship and Democracy as Catalysts for a Prosperous Nigeria.” The essay should be no more than 800 words.
- Format Your Essay:

- Font Size: 12pt
- Line Spacing: Double
- Alignment: Justified
- Save as PDF: Convert your essay to PDF format.
- Submit via Google Form: Use this Google form to submit your essay.
