The Management has observed the actions of certain individuals posing as Personal Assistants (PAs) to various officers within the Polytechnic, both Teaching and Non-Teaching staff. These individuals have been engaging in activities disruptive to the peace of the campus, often with the assistance of certain staff members.
Enforcement of Circular REG.7A/VOL.V/199
It is reiterated that such actions are unlawful and will be treated as such from now on. As per the circular referenced REG.7A/VOL.V/199 dated July 6, 2022, which prohibits unauthorized Personal Assistants (PAs) and mandates all staff members to wear their identity cards, any violation of this directive will be met with appropriate consequences.
Strict Prohibition of Unauthorized Personnel
Staff members are explicitly prohibited from employing former students or any other unauthorized individuals as PAs. Only individuals on the official payroll of the institution are permitted to engage in official capacities.
Mandatory Identity Card Policy
Furthermore, all staff members must wear their identity cards at all times while on the institution's premises, and failure to comply will result in sanctions.
Enforcement Authority
Law enforcement agencies and the Directorate of Media, Public Relations, and Protocol have been authorized to ensure strict adherence to these directives.
Student Notice: Compliance with Examination Regulations
Regarding students, it is imperative that all students collect their identity cards promptly, as failure to wear them during the ongoing semester examinations will result in denial of access to the examination hall.
Reminder for EED Training Classes
Similarly, students enrolled in EED 413/216 training classes are reminded of the necessity of registration and attendance. Failure to register will result in exclusion from practical training classes. Attendance must be recorded, and students are prohibited from leaving the class without official permission.
