Job Description:
The Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (PMER) Manager plays a pivotal role in realizing WaterAid Nigeria’s country strategy. By ensuring the alignment of activities with strategic objectives, this role facilitates effective program monitoring, evaluation, and reporting. Collaborating closely with program teams, the PMER Manager drives the implementation of robust monitoring and evaluation systems, fostering quality assurance and facilitating organizational learning.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of WaterAid Nigeria’s country plans and budgets.
- Lead the monitoring of program implementation progress against objectives.
- Conduct periodic Post Implementation Monitoring Surveys (PIMS) and ensure data quality.
- Provide technical guidance to partner organizations on monitoring and evaluation activities.
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of program reports.
- Promote inclusion and learning within WaterAid Nigeria’s programs.
- Facilitate capacity-building initiatives on PM&E for implementing partners.
- Generate organizational learning from monitoring and evaluation activities.
Requirements:
Essential:
- University Degree in Development Studies, Public Health, Statistics, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in planning, monitoring, and evaluation, preferably in an NGO setting.
- Strong knowledge of project planning and management cycles.
- Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft ACCESS, and IT skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive with strong planning and organizational abilities.
- Experience in data collection methodologies and analysis.
Desirable:
- Master's Degree in Development Management or related area.
- Training in statistics and/or planning.
- Hands-on experience in development project design and management.
- Experience in community-based development.
- Knowledge/experience in the water, sanitation & hygiene (WASH) sector.
