As part of the New Business Development Team in Shell Energy Nigeria, you will collaborate with various functions to deliver business objectives. In the role of Gas-to-Power Business Development Manager, you will spearhead the development of a gas-fired power portfolio, essential for Nigeria's industrial growth.
What’s the Role?
You will lead the gas-fired power development for Shell Energy Nigeria, leveraging your expertise in power plant development (marketing, building, financing, permitting) and the gas-to-power value chain. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building strong relationships with customers, partners (including Distribution Companies), regulators, and industry stakeholders to identify and close deals.
- Developing strategies for gas-fired power sales and driving growth in the industrial sector.
- Innovating new business models and deal types within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment focused on growth.
What We Need From You
We seek individuals with at least 10 years of relevant experience in sales and business development within Nigeria's gas-to-power market, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field. Ideal candidates will possess:
- Proven experience in power development, especially in captive and embedded systems.
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen to protect and maximize Shell’s profits.
- A self-starting attitude with analytical problem-solving capabilities.
- A successful track record in deal-making and managing complex business transactions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial agreements (e.g., power purchase agreements, gas supply agreements).
- A solid understanding of the natural gas value chain and gas-fired power systems.
