Job Description
As a Principal Investigator at Airtel Nigeria, you will play a crucial role in enhancing fraud risk awareness and supporting the implementation of our Fraud Risk Management Strategy. Your responsibilities will include conducting investigations independently, supporting compliance with the Code of Conduct, and ensuring timely resolution of complaints.
Job Responsibilities
Internal Audit
- Develop and finalize audit scopes.
- Contribute to the Internal Audit plan and programs.
- Document key risks and mitigation plans.
- Respond to audit and investigation requests promptly.
- Assist in quality assurance and governance mechanisms.
- Finalize audit data requests and follow up with process owners.
Fraud Management
- Improve Code of Conduct compliance through training and awareness.
- Stay updated on fraud risks and support relevant controls.
- Facilitate Fraud Risk Assessments and implement anti-fraud measures.
- Liaise with law enforcement and industry peers on fraud issues.
Investigation
- Conduct fraud and misconduct investigations, identifying root causes and providing recommendations.
- Perform computer forensics, including data analysis.
- Consolidate investigation findings and track implementation of recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with chain of custody and case record procedures.
People Management
- Develop the Fraud Management and Internal Audit teams.
- Continuously reassess and develop required skill sets.
Educational & Experience Qualifications
- Second-Class Upper Division in Engineering, IT, Management, Finance, or Accounting.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in telecommunications and 8 years in IT Audit/Investigation, with at least 5 years in Forensic Technology.
- Experience with Big 4 accounting firms is preferred.
- Professional qualifications: CFE, CISA, CISM (Required); ACA, ACCA, CPA (Desirable).
Behavioral & Skill Requirements
- Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Ability to interact with senior management and work under pressure.
- Willingness to travel and relocate within the group.
