Job Description
As a Principal Officer at our Packing Plant, you will plan and coordinate production and maintenance activities to prevent operational disruptions and ensure targets are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in developing and articulating the plant’s maintenance plan.
- Manage packing plant shift teams for efficient execution of activities and achievement of production targets.
- Supervise the operation of packing plant equipment during shifts.
- Liaise with maintenance engineers for timely repairs of machinery.
- Enforce the use of personal protective equipment to prevent accidents.
- Ensure effective on-the-job training of packing plant operators.
- Oversee collaboration with HSE personnel for safety training and equipment provision.
- Assist with reviewing ATCs for shift teams and ensure timely sign-offs by the Shift Manager.
- Supervise the loading of cement into trucks during shifts.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Head of Packing Plant.
Requirements
- BSc./HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent + 6 years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of the cement production process.
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment quickly and accurately.
- Excellent leadership, supervisory, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong relationship management and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of cement packing machines and maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with safety practices and required parts and supplies.
