Job Description:
As a Procurement Manager at Protea Hotel By Marriot Lagos Kuramo Waters, you'll play a crucial role in our operations. Your responsibilities will include identifying suppliers, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. You'll collaborate closely with project managers and suppliers to meet our procurement needs efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess potential suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery timelines.
- Negotiate favorable terms and contracts with suppliers to meet the hotel's procurement requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers and project managers to ensure smooth communication and timely delivery of goods.
- Execute procurement activities in accordance with company policies and regulations, maintaining compliance at all times.
- Generate and maintain procurement reports, expediting reports, and other documentation as required.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely payments to vendors and subcontractors.
- Create and manage purchase orders, reconciling them with supply requests and orders.
- Analyze invoices to verify the accuracy of goods received and manage inventory effectively.
- Collaborate with the projects team to understand and address procurement needs promptly.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with leadership skills.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and industry dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
- Additional certification in procurement is desirable.
