Job Summary
CESDI seeks a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Officer to manage the purchasing and sourcing of goods and services. The successful candidate will ensure that the organization obtains quality products and services at competitive prices, adheres to procurement policies, and maintains strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Supply Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers; negotiate contracts for the best terms.
- Purchasing: Source, negotiate, and procure goods and services per company requirements and policies.
- Cost Optimization: Ensure cost-effective purchasing and delivery of quality products within budgetary guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels by coordinating stock levels and supplier orders.
- Compliance: Ensure procurement activities adhere to legal requirements and internal policies.
- Reporting: Prepare and present procurement reports, including cost analysis and supplier performance metrics.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years in procurement, supply chain, or a related role.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Experience with contract management is a plus.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and best practices.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
