We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Programme Coordinator
Location: Abuja
Responsibilities
- Manage the Oncho and LF Elimination project and lead the associated team effectively.
- Monitor project progress, address issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure project coherence with CBM frameworks and local health systems.
- Collaborate with project staff, technical specialists, and stakeholders to develop and implement project plans.
- Oversee project activities, managing inter-dependencies and addressing risks.
- Lead annual planning, budgeting, and reporting while managing day-to-day project operations.
- Monitor the project implementation budget, ensuring expenditure aligns with benefits delivered.
- Maintain quality and timeliness of activities according to project plans.
- Provide supportive supervision to direct reports, ensuring they meet their targets.
- Facilitate performance measurement and staff development plans.
- Foster team cohesion and high performance, even under pressure.
- Manage stakeholder communications and represent the project externally.
- Adapt project plans in response to changing contexts and emerging risks.
Qualifications
- Post-graduate Degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Project Management, or Public Health.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing NTD, health, development, or humanitarian projects in low- or middle-income settings.
- Passion for improving the lives of people with disabilities.
- Experience collaborating with Ministries of Health and developing stakeholder relationships.
- Strong problem-solving and corrective action skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proven administrative and data management skills.
- Familiarity with key issues surrounding NTDs in local and global contexts.
- Commitment to humanitarian NGO standards and practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software.
