Job Description

Tearfund is recruiting a Project Officer to support the "We Matter Too!" project, focusing on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) and Maternal & Child Health and Protection Rights (MCHPR). You will assist the SGBV/MCHPR Coordinator in managing the program's financial integrity and overall success. This role requires 80% field travel, monitoring project activities and community dialogues to ensure adherence to international standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, supervision, and monitoring of field activities.
  • Contribute to information management and ensure project SOPs are followed.
  • Participate in technical advisory meetings and collaborate with the GBV/PSS unit.
  • Support project monitoring at the community level.
  • Maintain program quality and financial integrity.

Qualifications & Skills

  • BSc/BA in Gender Studies, Public Health, Peacebuilding, or related fields (Master's degree preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in development, project design, implementation, and M&E.
  • Experience with Project Cycle Management, capacity building, and community-based projects.
  • Knowledge of SPHERE Standards, CHS, and SGBV programming.
  • Working knowledge of local languages (Tiv, Hausa preferred).
  • Christian faith and alignment with Tearfund’s values.
