About the Internship Position
We are seeking a motivated Public Health Intern (Environmental Health) to join our dynamic team. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of environmental health, while contributing to impactful projects designed to improve health outcomes related to environmental factors and biochemical processes.
As a Public Health Intern, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to implementing and enhancing public health interventions. You will work alongside experienced professionals in the fields of public health, environmental health, and biochemistry.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Design & Implementation: Support the creation and execution of public health programs that focus on environmental health and biochemistry, ensuring these interventions are effective and impactful.
- Educational Resource Development: Assist in developing educational materials and resources that promote better understanding and action regarding environmental health issues.
- Data Collection & Evaluation: Participate in the collection of data for ongoing public health programs, as well as monitor and evaluate the success of these programs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of public health and environmental health initiatives.
- Fieldwork & Laboratory Analysis: Conduct fieldwork, participate in laboratory analysis, and support project-related activities, providing valuable insights into environmental health assessments.
- Research & Literature Review: Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and data analysis, contributing to the development of research articles that inform and enhance public health programs.
- Community Outreach: Engage with local communities to promote awareness and education on environmental health matters, supporting public health initiatives and activities.
- Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks as directed by the team and project leads.
Qualifications and Skills
- A recent graduate with a Master’s degree (M.Sc) in Environmental Health or a related field.
- A strong passion for environmental health and public health initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Basic understanding of research methodologies, data analysis, and public health concepts.
- Willingness to learn, adapt to new tasks, and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively contribute to team efforts.
