Job Purpose
Ensure compliance with production specifications.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct analyses following specified Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and analytical methods.
- Maintain equipment and address issues with instrumentation, procedures, or production processes.
- Ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance are upheld.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
- Report testing results via the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), other computerized systems, or paper-based documentation.
- Generate valid data, report results against established specifications, adhering to current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Compare laboratory results with specifications to determine acceptability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related field with 3-12 years of relevant experience.
- Detail-oriented with high reading comprehension skills.
- Proficient in computerized systems.
- Ability to make decisions within the constraints of recognized standard methods and procedures.
- Must maintain GMP compliance within the assigned laboratory.
- Demonstrate creativity, flexibility, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Complete all training and written exams.
- Capable of working a flexible schedule as needed.
- Knowledge of ISO systems is advantageous.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
- Proficient in performing various chemical analysis procedures.
- Effective communication skills with supervisors and peers.
- Understanding of mathematical concepts such as logarithms, algebraic conversions, fractions, decimals, and rounding.
- Ability to follow written procedures.
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal direction.
