As part of our ongoing expansion and commitment to excellence, we are seeking qualified individuals to join our dynamic team in the role of Manager, Regional Technical Operations based in Enugu. This is a full-time, permanent position within the Operations department.
Job Description
Operations
- Foster and maintain robust relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners within the designated region.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) tasks and regional objectives, motivating team members to achieve targets.
- Ensure efficient deployment of security measures by notifying Service Maintenance Contractors (SMCs) of site requirements and promptly informing Quality Auditors (QAs) of security deployments.
- Oversee diesel supply to sites to prevent downtime, coordinating closely with the Associate Director, Operations.
- Facilitate Site Readiness Audits by SMCs and escalate any issues to the Regional Project Coordinator for resolution.
- Compile Decommissioned Asset Checklists daily, verifying with Field Service Engineers before submission to the Project Coordinator.
- Collaborate with Regional QAs to fulfill Customer Upgrade Request Forms (CURFs) and ensure adherence to requirements.
- Share responsibility for regional compliance with policies, procedures, and methodologies.
- Conduct regular status meetings with stakeholders, ensuring action items are followed through effectively.
- Facilitate the seamless integration of new network elements into the operational network.
- Uphold quality processes and systems, ensuring conformity across the region.
- Ensure timely attention to commercial responsibilities such as Supply Chain invoicing and project execution.
- Evaluate performance of Field Operations Team Leaders and provide mentorship as needed.
- Oversee weekly governance meetings and communications.
- Relay pertinent information and feedback from management to relevant personnel.
- Monitor the management of network assets and initiate corrective actions where necessary.
- Assess the need for Capex replacement and initiate the replacement request process.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all reports and provide inputs to the regional budget.
- Ensure availability and effective utilization of necessary tools by team members.
- Track progress on all O&M deliverables and provide feedback to enhance decision-making.
- Proactively communicate O&M status, issues, and risks to management.
General Duties
- Encourage communication among colleagues to facilitate information flow and problem resolution.
- Prepare and submit reports to the Senior Manager, Field Services regarding regional operations.
- Manage relationships with partners/vendors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as CCNA or PMP are advantageous.
- Over 10 years of relevant experience in telecom operations and maintenance.
