Job Description

As a Relationship Manager at Optimus Bank, you will play a pivotal role in managing customer relationships, driving business growth, and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery. You will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, managing a team, and achieving key performance targets related to revenue growth, loan bookings, and deposit mobilization. Your ability to provide excellent customer service and your leadership skills will be essential in fostering long-term relationships and expanding our customer base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and manage relationships with all bank customers, ensuring excellent service and retention.
  • Cross-Selling and Upselling: Proactively identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell banking products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
  • Revenue Growth: Achieve set revenue targets, mobilize deposits, and drive business growth through effective relationship management strategies.
  • Loan and Account Acquisition: Lead efforts in acquiring salary accounts and booking quality loans.
  • POS Terminal Deployment: Facilitate the deployment and collection of POS terminals to enhance customer experience and financial transactions.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of Account Officers and Direct Sales Agents (DSAs) to meet set performance goals and continuously improve service delivery.
  • Performance Review: Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports, analyzing trends and outcomes to drive improvements.
  • Customer Onboarding: Oversee proper onboarding of new customers, ensuring smooth account funding, ATM card linking, and mobile application registration.
  • Deposit Mobilization: Engage daily with customers to increase deposit mobilization and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must be a resident of Jigawa.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a similar role within the banking or financial services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of banking products, services, and operations.
  • Proven track record in client relationship management and delivering results.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to manage financial risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in personal banking operations and customer service excellence.
